Born and raised in India, Amiben has been in the US for the past 35 years. She did her microbiology (pathology) from India, and computer information systems from Michigan. She has been happily married, and enjoys a great family that has been very supportive of her.

She has been actively involved with VVM for the last 12+ years. She has been working in an administrative role on the VVM Board of Directors, serving as Vice Chairperson, and lending her hand and talents in all other areas as needed. She feels very fortunate to have an opportunity to share her religious knowledge with 6 to 8 years old children. For the last one year or a little longer, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been very excited about her role as a Religion 1 teacher. It is not only teaching the young minds, but also giving them motherly love and nurturing them as her own grandchildren, that is a source of boundless joy for her. She shares her knowledge, and also learns something new about Hinduism, Sanatan Dharma and its tenets at VVM every week.

Amiben feels that VVM has a very good support system that uplift and energizes every family. She is very glad to be a part of the VVM Family.
