Aditi Karsaliya.JPG

Aditiben was born and raised in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

She has a bachelor's degree in accounting, an associate degree in business management, and a degree in phlebotomy. She has been in the Houston area for over 26 years. She loves to teach and interact with kids. She has taught kids as a computer teacher in India. She has been associated with Dulles elementary school for 5 years as a teachers aide.

Aditiben and her husband have very involved in VPSS mandir and VVM school activities for over 10 years, and do volunteer work wherever needed. They have served VVM for over 9 years in various capacities and roles. She has been an assistant teacher for the Arts and Crafts classes at VVM for the past three years. Every year she has been to the Vraj camp to teach religion classes and yoga there as well. At present, she is teaching Religion 1 class, and enjoys meeting with and teaching our young kids.

Aditiben has two daughters. One is a sophomore in college, and the other is a sophomore in high school. Both have been part of VVM, and have benefited in terms of getting familiar with our roots, our religion, and our culture. Additionally, they have found friends for life at VVM, which is a great benefit, as kids can meet other kids with like interests, and same value system. They both have had an excellent experience at VVM.

Aditiben particularly admires that VVM offers religion classes at multiple levels depending on the age and knowledge level of the kids, as well as many excellent optional elective classes to choose from amongst Arts and Crafts, Folk Dance, Debate, Speech, and Creative writing, Yoga, Kirtan, as well as language classes for Gujarati and Hindi. Because of VVM involvement, encouragement, and inspiration, recently her older daughter was recognized for her voluntary work, and received an award from Hindus of Greater Houston (HGH), which is indeed a proud moment for both parents as well. Aditiben is grateful to VVM for the value system that her kids have developed.

Teaching gives her the inner satisfaction that she is able to pass whatever she has learned over the years, and the experience that she has accumulated on to our next generation. She firmly believes that this is what builds a bright future for our kids, while keeping our culture and belief systems perpetual.

Her hobbies are teaching, traveling, cooking, and having fun with friends in her leisure time. She loves the Garba, and at the VVM Garba class, she learns new moves, new styles, and enjoys a lot with her friends.

She looks forward to many enjoyable years with VVM.
