Sushant Dutta - Coding

Sushant was born and brought up in Delhi, India. He is married to Neha Parikh and they have a daughter named Samika. They have been involved with VVM since 2014. He has attended the yoga class at VVM in the past and has occasionally volunteered for photography and other supporting tasks at VVM. He has been teaching computer coding at VVM since 2020.
After schooling in Delhi, he did his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay in Mumbai, India. He has been living in Houston ever since, first earning his master’s and PhD degrees from Rice University, and then working in the energy industry as a scientist.
He loves playing cricket occasionally and listening to music often. He is also passionate about science and technology.

Volunteered for Friends of Young Minds, collecting, repairing, and shipping used computers to underprivileged children in India

Vice-President of Indian Students at Rice (ISAR) and President of Rice Cricket Club

Awarded 2007 Youth Recognition Award from India Culture Center, Houston for service to the Indian community
He admires the spirit of selfless service in the leaders, teachers, and volunteers at VVM. He and his family have found many friends at VVM. Teaching computer coding at VVM enables him to be a part of this close community and to kindle a passion for technology in his students.
