Dr. Praseet Poduval, has been playing chess since a very young age. He played Chess professionally and represented the state of Goa in national tournaments. He was the U-7, U-10, sub-junior, junior, college and university champion consistently. He along with his parents are all international FIDE rated players for over 25 years.After his day time work in the office he enjoys teaching chess.

It all started with trying to influence his children to play chess, but soon realised the need for a quality chess coach in Pearland. He dedicates every available hour for his students.

He runs a registered Academy to Pearland “Houston Chess Academy”. He is also a registered Tournament Director  by the United Chess Federation.
