Vallabh vidya mandir 

Bhaktiben was born and brought up in Mumbai, India. Her parents used to take her to Sunday Pathashala there, so the value and importance of spiritual and cultural education are instilled in her since she was a little kid.

 

She has been in the US for over 22 years, 15 of which have been in Houston. She did her college here, and earned bachelor's degrees in finance and human resources, followed by a master's degree in leadership and management.

She has been with VVM for over 10 years, and has taught different levels of religion classes in the past; currently she teaches Religion 3. She loves going to VVM every Sunday, as she has a passion for teaching the young kids, our future generation, and learning at the same time!

​

Bhaktiben is also on the VVM Board of Directors. She is a parent too - a proud mother of 2 beautiful daughters. She feels that she gets to experience VVM from multiple angles: a parent, a teacher, an administrator, and more importantly, a volunteer. She loves doing “Sewa” (selfless community service as a worship to God) at VPSS and VVM, and she believes it is so important to give back.

Her passion and hobbies include volunteering, cooking, shopping, and traveling.
