Akshaybhai was born and raised in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. He came to the US in 1987 and settled in Houston, TX.

He has a master's degree in mathematics from India.

​

Akshaybhai has been associated with VPSS since 1989. He is on the Board of Trustees of VPSS as well as on the Board of Directors of VVM. He has been associated with VVM from the very first day of its foundation.

​

Music (singing, playing the harmonium and the keyboard), learning to play the tabla, A/V support and videography using drone are among his hobbies. Akshaybhai is fond of Haveli Sangeet and Kirtans and has been the Kirtan teacher since the first time the Kirtan class was offered at VVM.

He loves kids and enthusiastic students with whom he enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience. He feels that VVM provides a nice and friendly family environment. He helps train and create responsible and devoted Vaishnavas, who can use their skill set in Seva (service) for Shreejeebava and other Bhagavaidya Vaishnavas to keep our Pushtimarg traditions powerful, progressive, and perpetual in future.
